Served as the Executive Director of the Colorado Gynecologic and Obstetrical Society (state chapter of ACOG) for 17 years.
At the same time, Mrs. Gibbs helped establish the Colorado Healthy Women Healthy Babies (as a volunteer) and was the CO-ED of this non-profit. The purpose was to educate the community about improving low birth weight and prematurity outcomes.
Mrs. Gibbs served as Interim Executive Director of the CoRCRC for 18 months until a new permanent director was hired. She also served as a volunteer on the boards of PPRM, the March of Dimes and the Colorado Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, locally.
