The legislative session has barely begun and behind the scenes action is keeping CORCRC on its toes. We know that this session will be intense and exciting. Because we want you to be aware and prepared to be engaged, we will be sending you a weekly blog with updates and alerts during the legislative session. It is hoped that the information will keep you informed and motivated.
Legislation Update
As you read this blog, many bills that effect reproductive rights, health and justice are being drafted. We can expect to support bills impacting contraception and women’s health. At this time, no opposition bills have been presented.
FAMLI Medical Leave Insurance Program
HB18-101 (House sponsors Winter and Gray/ and Senator Donovan) On Feb 6th the House Business Affairs and Labor Committee will be hearing legislation proposing paid family leave. Pre-session polling support is strong for this long overdue bill. A press conference and rally will be on February 5th. Details TBA.

January 20
CORCRC invites you to join us at the Women’s March and make it known that: PEOPLE of FAITH TRUST WOMEN.
CORCRC will be meeting on January 20th at 8:30a.m. outside of the Spring Café 1373 Grant St, Denver, CO 80203. Get your stickers and signs and walk with us to the rally at 9:am at the Civic Center Park Amphitheater. We will then march together and rally at noon.

Women and Family Wednesday kick-off will begin at 8:00a.m. in the west foyer of the Capitol

The right to informed decisions about one’s health care is crucial to the mission of the Colorado Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice (CORCRC). Dr. Joyce Lisbin, CORCRC Executive Director, will present information and lead a discussion on how this impacts access to our health care options.
